Su historia comenz\u00f3 en 1901, con el nombre Banda de Rurales, y fue formada con la finalidad de acrecentar la cultura musical de la poblaci\u00f3n. Su primer director fue el m\u00fasico Candelario Rivas, reconocido por sus composiciones \u201cRisas y fuego\u201d, \u201cFantas\u00eda heroica\u201d y el \u201cHimno a Hidalgo\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante su trayectoria, la BSEH ha incorporado a su repertorio g\u00e9neros como jazz y tango, as\u00ed como folclor nacional y extranjero, m\u00fasica de pel\u00edculas y composiciones contempor\u00e1neas. Adem\u00e1s, ha compartido escenario con destacados artistas como Susana Harp, Fernando de la Mora y Susana Zabaleta, por mencionar algunos.
